The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the threats launched by the Houthi group against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the threat to impose a ban on maritime navigation through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and considers them a blatant violation of international law and the relevant Security Council resolutions, especially Resolutions 2722 (2024) and 2216 (2015). The Ministry reiterates its emphasis on the need to respect freedom of navigation and fully implement international resolutions, ensuring support for Yemeni legitimacy and the Houthis’ withdrawal from the areas they have controlled. The Ministry also condemns the recent Iranian attacks that targeted the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, and considers them a violation of the sovereignty of these countries and a threat to regional security and stability. Lebanon affirms its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, and its support for all measures taken by these countries to defend their sovereignty and protect their security and stability.
